Here comes the bride . . .
Yesterday, after dropping the kids at the airport, Kirk and I spent some time in "Uptown". (Uptown is a commercial and residential community in south Minneapolis) We walked to the lake, had a very nice lunch, shopped briefly and strolled the streets before heading home. Stopped at a stoplight, Kirk said, "look there!"....or something like that.... when I looked up and saw a bride and groom about to cross the street, I knew it was a photo I had to capture! It just looked so cool to see them among the traffic and people going about their Saturday activities. I quickly grabbed my camera and did my best to capture the moment, which was a challenge with the cars all driving in front of my subjects!

I can't resist putting up a few of the wedding photos I took yesterday. They are a work in progress . . .

I am embarrassed to admit that it has been years since I've visited our public library. So long in fact that I had to get a new library card - apparently I was MIA in their system. For a book junkie like me, it's hard to believe I've been MIA. When the kids were young we were there quite a bit....and we rarely missed the Bookmobile when it stopped at the end of our street! Ah the years of panic looking for missing library books. With 3 kids checking out MANY books, it wasn't unusual for On the job front...the interview on Monday went very well. They contacted me today and asked if I would attend their staff meeting next Tuesday morning - another step in the process, but it is looking like they are pretty interested in me now. My days of freedom are numbered. pooh.
