Playing dress up

I've been considering taking my wedding dress apart and making garters and other items for my girls from the various pieces for their weddings.

I mentioned these considerations at dinner tonight, because
Baby Girl is home, and she had previously mentioned that
she wanted to try on my wedding dress before I took it apart.

It really isn't a big deal for me to take apart the dress.  I mean, look at it.  Nothing fabulous.  It's been sitting in a box for 29 years and 6 months.  Taking up space.

I'm all for upcycling.

Baby Girl has had her fun

and has faced the reality that my dress
 doesn't fit her

it really doesn't even come close to fitting :)

which is totally shocking to me

because she is so slender

Mr. D thinks I should keep the wedding dress for our grandchildren to play dress up.
I'm not convinced.
Can you convince me one way or another?

What should I do with my wedding dress?
Save it for the grandkids to play with
Upcycle it! Make garters, ring bearer pillows, etc.
Put it back in the box and continue to store

    What were (are)you like a size 2

  2. So cute! I love that Danae tried it on. I had a lot of fun watching my mom pull hers outta the box and let me try it on before I got married. I can't believe it doesn't fit Danae, you must have been a teeny tiny size zero! heehee! It looks pretty on both of you :)
