Tonight I sat at our kitchen table working on the material I will be covering in the blog class Mark and I are teaching Thursday evening.  As I plugged away on my materials it suddenly occurred to me that my son was sitting across the table from me.

He was working on what he will be teaching to his 4th grade class on Thursday.
It will be his first FULL day of teaching the class -- and being in the classroom entirely alone.  No other teacher will be present.

A teacher's day isn't over when the bell rings at the end of the day.
Especially if you are a student teacher!

I'd love to see him teaching his class.
He's very happy that I can't!

  1. Good luck Nate! Have an outstanding day! I know you'll do great...The girls think you rock!

  2. Nate, I know it has to be a daunting task, but I know you're up to it. Proud of you!

  3. Oh I kinda get goose bumps when I think of Nate all grown up and being a teacher. How lucky for those little ones to have such a funny and awesome young man in their classroom. What a proud time for you and Kirk, I'm a little proud too :)
