It was fun while it lasted

It was fun.  Christmas "break" time that is.
Having the week off to be with the family has been like a breath of fresh air.  So has sleeping in til 9 or dare I say....10 am on one morning!
I feel like I used my time pretty well, inspite of some sleeping in.  Managing to keep the kitchen clean and making my bed (almost) every day was accomplishment.  The biggest accomplishment, however, was painting my office.
Here's the dull, "before" color of my office -- just before I started with the new color:
The new color is a pretty and cheerful shade of green.
and, none of these photos are going to do it justice . . .
This one is kinda close
I still have some tweaking to do.  I'd like to buy a nice comfy chair, a ladder shelf, and a real desk -- but will probably have to wait.  I'll probably also add a bulletin board of some type....something that is covered in a cheerful fabric, and is large --- like cover a piece of insulation foam board.  Have any of you guys done something like that?  Tell me how to do it if you have!
I took a nap today (a.k.a. "a time waster" right Sandy?) - but only an hour.  Inspite of the nap, I'm heading to bed now....because, I have to go back to work tomorrow.
The work week should be less stressful on some levels now.  I have an offical parking ramp pass, so no more bus rides for me -- I can leave on my schedule instead of the bus schedule. I have some new clothes to wear to work -- that makes it a little more fun to get up in the morning.
And I have this awesome Work Tote from my Sandy & Bob to carry my "gear" to work tomorrow!
Thanks S &B !  I'm off to pack my tote now!
Have a great Monday everyone!

    Cheri,
The office looks nice. Amazing how the color changes in the light. "Time waster" for naps is my own personal hangup, wish I could relax enough to nap during the day! I'm glad you like the tote. Thought it might be nice for your new job. Happy New Year again and have a wonderful week.
    Love,
    Sandy
